Official Rules & Prize Terms
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING A CHANCE-BASED PRIZE.
By registering for and participating in The Horse Concierge 90-Day Horsemanship Challenge (“Challenge”), participants, and the parent or legal guardian of a minor participant where applicable, acknowledge and agree to these Official Rules.
These Official Rules govern the Challenge, including weekly prizes, overall Challenge prizes, bonus prizes, drawings, and other awards offered in connection with the Challenge.
Promotional materials, social media posts, emails, graphics, Challenge Hub content, partner announcements, and other communications may summarize Challenge terms for convenience. If those materials conflict with these Official Rules regarding eligibility, scoring, deadlines, prize value, geographic restrictions, winner selection, or prize fulfillment, these Official Rules control to the extent permitted by applicable law.
1. Eligibility
The Challenge is open to registered participants residing in the United States and Canada, subject to applicable federal, state, provincial, territorial, and local laws.
Participants who have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence may register and participate on their own behalf.
Participants under the age of majority may participate with the permission of a parent or legal guardian. By permitting a minor to participate in the Challenge, the parent or legal guardian acknowledges the minor’s participation and agrees to these Official Rules on the minor’s behalf where required by applicable law.
The Horse Concierge may require a parent or legal guardian to verify consent or complete documentation before a minor participant receives a prize.
Where a prize cannot legally or practically be awarded directly to a minor, The Horse Concierge may award or administer the prize through the participant’s parent or legal guardian where permitted by law. If that is not possible, the prize substitution provisions of these Official Rules will apply.
Certain prizes, memberships, services, gift cards, or other benefits may be subject to additional age restrictions imposed by law or by the applicable prize provider.
Employees, officers, and principals of The Horse Concierge, and individuals directly involved in administering or determining Challenge winners, are not eligible to receive Challenge prizes.
The Challenge is void where prohibited or restricted by applicable law.
Participation in the Challenge and eligibility for a particular prize are separate matters. Certain prizes may have additional geographic, shipping, fulfillment, age, or other limitations as described in these Official Rules or the applicable prize description.
2. Challenge Period and Official Time
The Challenge begins August 31, 2026 and concludes November 30, 2026.
Challenge weeks generally run Monday through Sunday unless otherwise expressly identified in the Challenge Hub.
Unless a different deadline is expressly stated for a particular activity or prize, weekly prize standings close at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on the applicable Sunday.
The Horse Concierge’s systems and records are the official timekeeping and scoring records for purposes of Challenge administration.
3. Registration and Late Entry
Registration for the Challenge is free. No purchase is necessary to participate or to be eligible for a chance-based prize.
Participants may join the Challenge after it has begun while registration remains open.
Previously released Challenge educational content may remain available to late entrants, allowing participants to complete eligible prior-week activities when technically and practically possible.
Certain activities, including GPS-recorded rides and hand walks, cannot be entered retroactively. A participant joining late therefore may not have the same opportunity to earn every Challenge point previously available to earlier participants.
Availability of prior Challenge content does not guarantee availability of every prior Live event, time-sensitive bonus opportunity, partner promotion, weekly prize opportunity, or other activity that by its nature occurred during a limited period.
Participants must provide accurate registration information.
A participant may not create or use multiple registrations or accounts to obtain additional points, drawing entries, prizes, or other competitive advantages.
Minor participants are subject to the parent or legal guardian requirements described in Section 1.
4. Challenge Points and Qualifying Activities
Challenge points may be earned through qualifying activities identified by The Horse Concierge.
Where points are awarded for use of an app feature, recording an activity, maintaining horse records, GPS tracking, or another in-app activity, the qualifying activity must be completed and recorded within The Horse Concierge (“THC”) app unless expressly stated otherwise. Activities recorded solely through another application, platform, GPS tracker, website, or service do not qualify for THC in-app activity points.
Qualifying activities may include, without limitation:
- educational activities and Challenge assignments;
- horse profile and care activities within the THC app;
- feed, supplement, care, and record updates within the THC app;
- GPS-recorded rides and hand walks recorded through the THC app;
- Journeys and other qualifying THC app activities;
- referrals;
- partner activities;
- bonus opportunities; and
- other qualifying activities expressly designated by The Horse Concierge.
Some qualifying activities may occur outside the THC app when expressly identified by The Horse Concierge, including educational courses, forms, Live events, partner activities, or other designated opportunities.
Point values and eligibility periods may vary by activity.
Participants are responsible for completing activities in accordance with the instructions and deadlines applicable to that activity.
Activities must be legitimate. Artificial, duplicate, fabricated, manipulated, automated, or fraudulent activity may be removed and may result in loss of points or disqualification.
Participants are not required to delete, recreate, alter, or falsify accurate information already contained within their THC account solely for the purpose of earning Challenge points.
5. Scoring and Administrative Corrections
The Horse Concierge’s records will be used to determine Challenge scoring and prize eligibility.
The Administrator may investigate and correct:
- duplicate points;
- erroneous point awards;
- missing points resulting from a documented technical issue;
- improperly recorded activities;
- fraudulent or manipulated activity;
- scoring calculation errors; and
- other bona fide administrative or technical errors.
The Administrator may request reasonable documentation necessary to verify an activity.
A good-faith correction made to accurately apply the published scoring criteria will not constitute an improper modification of the Challenge.
The Administrator’s good-faith determination concerning the validity and scoring of an activity will be final to the extent permitted by applicable law.
6. Weekly Prizes
Certain Challenge weeks include prizes based upon weekly Challenge point totals.
Unless otherwise expressly stated, weekly standings are determined using qualifying points earned and credited to the applicable weekly prize period before the published deadline.
Some activities may remain available after a weekly prize period closes. Points earned later may count toward a participant’s overall Challenge score where applicable but will not retroactively alter a previously closed weekly prize determination except to correct a documented scoring or technical error.
The number, type, approximate retail value, and provider of weekly prizes may vary by week and will be disclosed through the Challenge Hub or applicable Challenge materials.
All approximate retail values are stated in United States Dollars (“USD”) unless expressly stated otherwise.
7. Weekly Ties
If two or more participants have identical qualifying scores affecting a weekly prize position, the Administrator will apply the same predetermined tiebreaking procedure to all tied participants.
Unless a different procedure is expressly disclosed for a particular weekly competition, ties will first be evaluated using applicable qualifying Challenge activity criteria.
If participants remain tied after applicable objective criteria have been exhausted, the remaining tied participants may be entered into a random selection to determine the applicable prize placement.
Where multiple participants are tied for positions covering more than one prize, the tiebreaking procedure will determine the order of placement among those participants.
A participant may not receive both first- and second-place awards for the same weekly competition.
For Canadian participants, any additional requirement applicable to a chance-based tiebreaker will apply as described in Section 14.
8. Overall Challenge Grand Prize Pool
The Challenge includes an overall Grand Prize pool awarded to first-, second-, and third-place participants at the conclusion of the Challenge.
Overall placement is determined primarily by total qualifying Challenge points accumulated during the Challenge Period, subject to verification and the applicable tiebreaking procedure.
The Grand Prize pool may consist of products, memberships, services, gift certificates or credits, experiences, and other items contributed by The Horse Concierge and participating prize partners.
Individual Grand Prize items will be allocated among first, second, and third place by The Horse Concierge consistent with the advertised Grand Prize pool and applicable prize descriptions.
Approximate retail values are based upon information supplied by prize providers and/or generally available retail values.
All Grand Prize values are stated and calculated in USD unless expressly stated otherwise.
9. Overall Challenge Ties
If two or more participants finish with identical overall Challenge scores affecting first-, second-, or third-place standings, the Administrator will apply predetermined objective Challenge tiebreaking criteria consistently to the tied participants.
If participants remain tied after the applicable objective tiebreaking criteria have been exhausted, the Administrator may use a random selection among the remaining tied participants to determine placement or, where practicable, divide applicable divisible prizes among tied participants.
Any applicable method will be administered consistently among similarly situated tied participants and documented by the Administrator.
10. $2,000 Participation Bonus Prize Pool
The Horse Concierge will offer an additional $2,000 USD Participation Bonus Prize Pool in connection with the Challenge.
This Bonus Prize Pool is separate from weekly leaderboard prizes and the overall first-, second-, and third-place Grand Prize pool.
To qualify for the Participation Bonus Prize Pool, a participant must record at least one qualifying Challenge activity associated with at least eleven (11) of the thirteen (13) Challenge weeks by the final Challenge deadline.
Participants are not required to earn every available point or complete every activity offered during a qualifying week.
Eligible prior-week activities that remain available may be completed later and may satisfy the applicable week’s participation requirement. Activities that inherently require contemporaneous tracking, including GPS-recorded rides and hand walks, cannot be created or recorded retroactively.
This structure allows participants up to two Challenge weeks without qualifying activity while still rewarding sustained participation throughout the Challenge.
Participants joining after the Challenge begins may complete eligible prior-week activities that remain available in order to satisfy prior-week participation requirements.
The Participation Bonus Prize Pool has a total advertised value of $2,000 USD and may consist of cash prizes and fuel gift cards.
The specific number and denomination of individual Bonus Prizes will be published before winners are selected and will collectively represent the advertised $2,000 USD prize pool.
Qualification for the Participation Bonus Prize Pool does not guarantee receipt of a prize.
Unless otherwise expressly stated, Bonus Prize recipients will be selected randomly from qualifying participants.
Unless otherwise expressly stated, Challenge points do not provide additional entries into the Participation Bonus Prize Pool. Each qualifying participant receives equal consideration in the applicable random drawing.
Odds of receiving a Bonus Prize depend upon the number of qualifying participants and the number of applicable prizes available.
First-, second-, and third-place overall Challenge winners remain eligible for the Participation Bonus Prize Pool if they independently satisfy its eligibility requirements.
11. Cash Prizes, Prize Values, and Currency
ALL CASH AMOUNTS, GIFT-CARD AMOUNTS, CREDITS, APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES (“ARV”), PRIZE VALUES, AND OTHER MONETARY AMOUNTS ADVERTISED OR STATED IN CONNECTION WITH THE CHALLENGE ARE DENOMINATED IN UNITED STATES DOLLARS (USD) UNLESS EXPRESSLY STATED OTHERWISE.
This applies to participants residing in both the United States and Canada.
For example, a cash prize advertised as “$200” means $200 USD, including when awarded to an eligible Canadian resident.
If payment to a Canadian winner requires currency conversion, the amount ultimately received in Canadian Dollars may vary based upon exchange rates, financial institutions, payment providers, transaction timing, and applicable third-party fees outside The Horse Concierge’s control.
The Horse Concierge does not guarantee any particular Canadian Dollar or other local-currency equivalent of a USD-denominated prize.
12. Gift Cards and Fuel Cards
Gift cards, store credits, and fuel cards are subject to the terms, conditions, geographic availability, redemption restrictions, and other policies of the issuing retailer or provider.
Where a prize is advertised generally as a “gas card,” “fuel card,” or similar prize without identifying a particular retailer, The Horse Concierge may select an appropriate fuel retailer based upon winner location, geographic availability, fulfillment capabilities, and other reasonable considerations.
A particular fuel retailer is not guaranteed unless expressly identified as part of the prize.
If an intended fuel or gift card is not reasonably available in a winner’s location, The Horse Concierge may substitute another fuel or gift card of equal or greater stated USD value.
13. Physical Prizes, Shipping, and Geographic Availability
Physical prizes are subject to availability and applicable shipping, geographic, customs, import/export, carrier, manufacturer, retailer, and partner fulfillment limitations.
A prize shown or advertised in connection with the Challenge is not a representation or guarantee that the particular product can legally or practically be shipped to every eligible participant location.
Some Challenge prize partners may ship only within the continental United States or may otherwise limit the geographic area in which they can fulfill a prize.
If an advertised physical prize cannot reasonably or legally be delivered to a winner because of the winner’s location, applicable law, customs or import requirements, carrier restrictions, manufacturer restrictions, retailer restrictions, partner fulfillment limitations, product availability, discontinuation, or circumstances outside the reasonable control of The Horse Concierge or the prize provider, The Horse Concierge and/or the applicable prize provider reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater approximate retail value, calculated in USD.
The substitute prize may differ in type, brand, model, retailer, or form from the originally advertised prize.
Unless required by applicable law or expressly agreed to by The Horse Concierge or the applicable prize provider, a winner is not entitled to demand cash in lieu of a physical prize, select a particular substitute, or require purchase of an unavailable item from another source.
Where a prize is supplied and fulfilled directly by a Challenge partner, fulfillment may also be subject to that partner’s reasonable shipping and fulfillment requirements.
The Horse Concierge and participating prize partners will act in good faith to provide the advertised prize or an appropriate substitute when substitution is reasonably necessary.
14. Canadian Participants
Eligible Canadian residents may participate subject to these Official Rules and applicable Canadian federal, provincial, territorial, and local law.
All advertised monetary amounts, cash prizes, gift cards, credits, and approximate retail values remain denominated in USD regardless of the winner’s country of residence.
For a prize awarded through random selection or another chance-based mechanism, a Canadian resident selected as a potential winner may be required, before being confirmed as a winner, to correctly answer without assistance a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question or satisfy another requirement necessary under applicable Canadian law.
Failure to correctly complete a legally required skill-testing question will result in the participant not being confirmed as the winner of that chance-based prize, and another potential winner may be selected in accordance with these Official Rules.
Canadian winners are responsible for ensuring that they may legally receive, possess, import, use, or redeem a particular prize in their province or territory.
Where a physical, membership, service, retailer-specific, or other prize is unavailable to a Canadian winner, the substitution provisions contained in these Official Rules apply.
No representation is made that every third-party product, retailer, membership, service, certificate, credit, or physical prize is available in every Canadian province or territory.
15. Prize Substitution and Availability
Prize descriptions are made in good faith based upon commitments and information available at the time of publication.
The Horse Concierge and participating prize providers reserve the right, where reasonably necessary, to substitute a prize or prize component with another prize or component of equal or greater approximate retail value in USD due to product availability, discontinuation, shipping restrictions, geographic limitations, fulfillment issues, legal restrictions, or circumstances outside their reasonable control.
Substitution rights will not be used to intentionally reduce the stated approximate retail value of an awarded prize.
No substitution requested by a winner is permitted except at the discretion of The Horse Concierge or the applicable prize provider.
Prizes may not be transferred, assigned, resold, or redeemed for cash except where expressly permitted by The Horse Concierge, the prize provider, or applicable law.
16. Third-Party Challenge and Prize Partners
Certain prizes are donated, sponsored, supplied, or fulfilled by third-party Challenge partners.
Identification of a third-party prize provider does not make that provider the administrator or sponsor of the Challenge unless expressly stated otherwise.
Third-party trademarks, product names, and service names remain the property of their respective owners.
Prize partners may impose reasonable fulfillment requirements applicable to their products, services, memberships, certificates, or credits.
The Horse Concierge is not responsible for acts or omissions of a third-party prize provider outside The Horse Concierge’s reasonable control. If a committed partner-provided prize becomes unavailable, the applicable substitution provisions of these Official Rules will apply.
17. Random Drawings
Where a prize is awarded by random drawing, eligible participants will receive the number of entries specified for that drawing.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, earning additional Challenge points does not provide additional entries into the Participation Bonus Prize Pool.
Random selections will be conducted using a reasonably impartial method determined in advance by the Administrator.
The Administrator may document drawing results for its records.
Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible participants or entries at the time of the applicable drawing.
Canadian participants are subject to the additional requirements described in Section 14.
18. Winner Notification and Prize Claims
Potential winners will be contacted using information associated with their Challenge registration or THC account, or through another reasonable Challenge communication method.
Potential winners may be required to:
- confirm eligibility;
- provide a valid mailing or delivery address;
- provide parent or legal guardian authorization where applicable;
- complete reasonable prize documentation;
- answer a Canadian skill-testing question where legally applicable;
- provide tax information where legally required; or
- provide other information reasonably necessary to fulfill the prize.
A potential winner who cannot be located after reasonable efforts, fails to respond within the stated claim period, refuses the prize, fails to establish eligibility, fails a legally required skill-testing question, or fails to provide reasonably required information may forfeit the prize.
If a prize is forfeited, an alternate winner may be selected using the same applicable winner-selection method.
19. Taxes, Duties, Customs, and Fees
Winners are responsible for any federal, state, provincial, territorial, local, or other taxes associated with accepting or receiving a prize except where applicable law requires otherwise.
U.S. winners may be required to provide information necessary for tax reporting when applicable.
The Horse Concierge will issue tax documentation when required by applicable law.
Canadian and other non-U.S. winners are responsible for any personal tax consequences applicable within their jurisdiction.
Where customs duties, brokerage charges, import fees, or similar charges would apply to delivery of a physical prize outside the prize provider’s ordinary shipping area, The Horse Concierge or the prize provider may elect to provide an eligible substitute prize pursuant to Sections 13 and 15 rather than requiring the winner to incur those charges.
20. Technical Failures and Scoring Issues
The Horse Concierge is not responsible for internet outages, device failures, GPS interruptions, operating-system restrictions, third-party service outages, delayed transmissions, corrupted data, or other technical conditions outside its reasonable control.
However, the Administrator may correct a documented technical error when reliable information demonstrates that a participant legitimately completed an eligible activity that failed to record properly.
Screenshots or other supporting information may be considered but do not automatically establish eligibility or entitlement to points.
The goal of any technical correction will be to apply the published Challenge rules and scoring criteria fairly and consistently.
21. Fair Play, Fraud, and Disqualification
The Administrator may remove points, invalidate activity, or disqualify a participant for:
- fraudulent or falsified activity;
- deliberate manipulation of Challenge scoring;
- creation or use of duplicate accounts for competitive advantage;
- deliberate exploitation of a technical error;
- automated or artificial activity;
- tampering with Challenge operations;
- harassment or conduct materially interfering with fair Challenge administration; or
- other conduct that materially compromises the integrity of the Challenge.
Any such determination will be made in good faith based upon available information.
22. Modification, Interruption, or Cancellation
If fraud, technical failure, natural disaster, government action, platform failure, partner failure, or another circumstance outside The Horse Concierge’s reasonable control materially impairs the integrity or operation of the Challenge, The Horse Concierge reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to modify, suspend, extend, or terminate the affected portion of the Challenge.
Any such action will be taken in good faith and, where reasonably possible, in a manner that preserves already-earned participant rights and previously committed prize value.
This provision does not provide The Horse Concierge an unrestricted right to reduce or withdraw prizes merely because a particular Challenge outcome becomes inconvenient or undesirable.
23. Participant and Equine Safety
Participation in the Challenge does not require any participant to ride, handle, trailer, exercise, feed, medicate, treat, or otherwise interact with or change the management of a horse when the participant or the horse’s responsible caregiver believes doing so would be unsafe, inappropriate, or contrary to professional advice.
Participants are responsible for determining whether an activity is appropriate for themselves and their horse and for obtaining appropriate professional guidance when necessary.
Minor participants must participate in horse-related activities with the permission and appropriate supervision of their parent, legal guardian, or another responsible adult as determined by their parent or legal guardian.
Challenge educational content is provided for general educational purposes and is not a substitute for individualized veterinary, medical, nutrition, farrier, training, legal, or other professional advice.
Equine activities involve inherent risks.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Horse Concierge, Challenge partners, education partners, prize providers, and their respective owners, officers, employees, and agents are not responsible for injury, loss, damage, or expense arising from voluntary participation in Challenge activities or the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of a prize, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
24. Winner Announcements and Publicity
Where permitted by applicable law, The Horse Concierge may identify Challenge and prize winners for purposes of announcing Challenge results.
Winner announcements may include the participant’s first name, last initial, general geographic location, horse name, Challenge placement, and/or prize received.
For minor participants, The Horse Concierge may limit publicly identifying information and may request parent or legal guardian permission before using a minor’s photograph, full name, likeness, testimonial, or other personally identifying content.
Any broader use of a participant’s photograph, testimonial, likeness, or other content remains subject to applicable law and any additional permission required by The Horse Concierge.
25. Privacy and Challenge Communications
Information collected in connection with the Challenge will be handled in accordance with The Horse Concierge’s applicable privacy practices and may be used as reasonably necessary to administer the Challenge, maintain participant accounts, calculate and verify points, communicate Challenge information, verify eligibility, prevent fraud, contact and announce winners, fulfill prizes, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
As agreed to during registration, participants may receive emails from The Horse Concierge and Challenge partners in association with the Challenge.
Information reasonably necessary to fulfill a partner-provided prize may be shared with the applicable prize provider, including a winner’s name, contact information, shipping information, or other information reasonably necessary to provide the prize.
Participants may use applicable unsubscribe options for promotional email communications. Unsubscribing from promotional communications does not prevent The Horse Concierge from sending administrative or transactional communications reasonably necessary to operate a participant’s account, administer the Challenge, verify eligibility, or fulfill a prize.
For minor participants, personal information and communications will be handled subject to applicable law and any parent or legal guardian consent required by law.
26. Administration and Rule Interpretation
The Horse Concierge is responsible for administering these Official Rules and making good-faith determinations necessary to apply them fairly and consistently.
The Administrator may clarify an ambiguity, correct an obvious error, or address an unforeseen circumstance provided doing so does not unfairly disadvantage participants or retroactively materially alter the basis upon which a prize has already been earned.
The Administrator’s determinations regarding Challenge administration are final to the extent permitted by applicable law.
27. Governing Law
Except where the law of a participant’s jurisdiction requires otherwise, the Challenge and these Official Rules will be governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Nothing in these Official Rules is intended to waive any right or protection that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
28. Updates to These Rules
The Horse Concierge may make non-material clarifications, correct typographical or administrative errors, add newly announced prizes, identify prize denominations or providers, or make changes reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law.
The Horse Concierge will not retroactively materially reduce the value of a prize already earned or materially alter the criteria for a prize after the applicable competition period has closed.
Material updates will be reflected by an updated effective or revision date.
29. Official Rules Control
These Official Rules constitute the controlling terms for Challenge prize eligibility, scoring, winner selection, and prize administration.
Social media posts, graphics, videos, emails, Challenge Hub summaries, partner announcements, and other promotional materials may summarize these terms.
If there is an inconsistency concerning eligibility, scoring, prize value, geographic restrictions, deadlines, winner selection, prize availability, or fulfillment, these Official Rules control to the extent permitted by applicable law.
